A little help
with your shelf.
A few answers about keeping your bottles, and keeping your data.

Support contact details are coming with the app.
You can find answers below while Dewfolio is being prepared for release.
Before you change phones
Make an encrypted backup in the app’s Settings and keep its passphrase. Restore the backup on the new phone. A CSV is useful as a readable record of the shelf; use an encrypted backup to restore it in Dewfolio.
Questions about the shelf
What is Dewfolio?
A skincare tracker for the bottles you own. It keeps each bottle separately (which is open, which is a backup, about how long each has left) and puts them in the order to use them up.
How much does it cost?
The shelf is free, with no cap on products or bottles. Dewfolio Pro is coming with Today, as one purchase in the app. Pay once. No subscription.
Do I need an account?
No. There isn’t one to make. Open the app and add your first bottle.
Where is my shelf kept?
On your phone, in an encrypted database, with its key in the phone’s protected key storage. We never see it. There are no analytics or crash-reporting services.
Does it work offline?
Yes. Your shelf, label reading, time left and exports all work in airplane mode. Only the optional online barcode lookup needs a connection, and you choose when to use it.
How long does it take to add my collection?
About thirty seconds a bottle. Add a shelf at a time over a few evenings if you like. You can load an invented example shelf first to look around, then remove it.
What if my bottle has no barcode?
Photograph the label and Dewfolio reads it on your phone, or type it in. Only the name is needed.
Can I keep two of the same product?
Yes, that’s the point. Two of the same serum are two bottles, each with its own open date and its own time left.
How does it know how long a bottle lasts?
From the date printed on it, from the open-jar symbol, or from a sensible default for the category. Anything worked out is labelled “estimated”.
In what order should I use things up?
Open bottles first, fewest days left at the top. Then backups, as their open bottle ends. Then unstarted bottles, oldest first. Dewfolio keeps that list for you.
What if I change phones?
Make an encrypted backup with a passphrase, then restore it on the new phone. Keep the backup and its passphrase somewhere you can find them.
What if Dewfolio shuts down?
Your shelf lives on your phone and exports as a spreadsheet file whenever you like. If Dewfolio ever disappears, your shelf doesn’t.
Does it tell me what to buy, or analyse my skin?
No. No product recommendations, no affiliate links, no face scores, no diagnosis. Dewfolio keeps track of what you own.
Android and iPhone?
Both. One design, the same features and the same words on both phones.
Does this website track me?
No. No cookies, no analytics, and nothing loaded from anyone else. If you pick light or dark, that choice stays in your browser.
